3. ANTIBIOTICS

Antibiotics are powerful properties that fight certain infections and can save lives when used properly. They either stop bacteria from reproducing or destroy them.Bacteria can multiply in human body and cause symptoms, the immune system can typically kill them. White blood cells (WBCs) attack harmful bacteria and, even if symptoms do occur, the immune system can usually cope and fight off the infection. However, if the number of harmful bacteria is excessive, and the immune system cannot fight them all. Antibiotics are used to kill these harmful bacteria.

4. ALLICIN

This is a substance in garlic that has both antibiotic and antiviral qualities.

Allicin prevents growth of micro-organisms.

5. ANTISEPTIC

This is a substance in garlic which kills and retards the growth of micro-organisms

6. ANTISPASMODIC PROPERTIES

This is a substance in garlic that helps in inhibiting muscles contraction in the human body. Antispasmodic substance helps in relieving symptoms, such as abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Health Benefits of Selenium: Selenium is an essential mineral for the functioning of the human body.

Some benefits we get, backed by scientific proof from consuming food that contains selenium are:

1. Selenium acts as powerful antioxidant for the human body.

2. Selenium may help lower risk of certain cancers.

3. A diet rich in selenium may help keep your heart healthy.  

4. Selenium helps prevent mental decline (Alzheimer’s disease)

5. Selenium is important for thyroid health.

6. Boost the human immune system.

7. Helps to reduce symptoms of asthma.

Although selenium is necessary for our good health, getting too much can be dangerous. Other food stuffs that contain selenium are,-Oysters, Brazil Nuts, Halibut, Yellowfin tuna, Eggs, Sardines, Sunflower seeds and chicken breast.

2. SULPHUR

Sulphur plays an important role in the body and is necessary for the synthesis of certain key proteins. For example, sulphur is needed for the synthesis of glutathione which acts as a potent antioxidant, protecting your cells from damage. Although Sulphur is necessary for our good health, getting too much can be dangerous.
